Americans identifying as socially conservative reach 11-year high, poll
The shift is seen mostly as a result of increasing social conservatism among Republicans, when social issues such as transgenderism, abortion are prominent in national debate.
The number of people in the U.S. who identify as socially conservative is at its highest since 2012, according to a recently released poll.
The Gallup poll released last week shows 38% of Americans identify as “very conservative” or “conservative” – the same percentage as 11 years ago.
“For most of the past eight years, Americans were about as likely to say they were liberal as conservative on social issues,” Gallup senior editor Jeffrey Jones says.
Jones also says the shift is mostly due to increasing social conservatism among Republicans, at a time when social issues such as transgenderism and abortion are prominent in the national public debate.

Over four days (June 8-June 12) the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) broadcast networks predictably crammed their evening, morning and Sunday roundtable shows with a total of 291 minutes of coverage dedicated to the Trump indictment.
But how much did the Biden/Burisma alleged bribery scheme receive?
After these last seven years, it’s obvious any politician who questions the Congress-defying security state will get the Trump treatment.
Anyone who has been watching for seven years — and counting — has seen the nation’s top Republican politician framed, impeached, raided, prosecuted, and now indicted by corrupt spy agencies on behalf of the Democrat Party. Their goal is to send their top political opponent to prison on charges they said were fascist to bring against their own presidential candidates.
After these last seven years, how can anyone not expect that any Republican who questions the unelected, Congress-defying security state won’t get the Trump treatment? If they can and will do it to Trump, they can and will do it to Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert Kennedy Jr., and anyone else who threatens their power. (Clueless candidates like Mike Pence and Nikki Haley don’t.)

In a recent piece in The Atlantic, Ronald Brownstein proclaimed, “The Book-Bans Debate Has Finally Reached a Turning Point.” With the solemnity of a writer reporting on anti-totalitarian uprisings, Brownstein’s opening paragraph explains, “Across multiple fronts, Democrats and their allies are stiffening their resistance to a surge of Republican-led book bans.”
It seems that this writer and many others are taking a cue from Joseph Goebbels, chief propagandist for the Nazi Party, who once posited, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

A study out of the University of Bern in Switzerland has revealed that those who partake in far-left activism are more likely to exhibit narcissistic personality traits and psychopathic tendencies.

Speaking the truth is always in order, but arguing doesn’t accomplish anything.
