The world would be a better place without guns. Better for young strong men with no scruples. It would be a much worse place for women, minorities, old guys like me, and anyone confronted by multiple attackers. These reasons, though important, don’t address the number one worry of the founders, a tyrannical government. The politicians and bureaucrats understand the implications of 400 million guns in private hands. Some few see it as a benefit, the others as the ultimate limit on what the people will tolerate, just as the founders intended.

If citizens cannot contemplate the irony in having gun control/ban/buyback enforced by people with guns, then citizens failed to understand why the second amendment was written in the first place.

Irony is wasted on the stupid.

Politicians like Bernie Sanders, and lots of others, do not understand that the 2nd amendment was conceived to prevent government from dominating the people. They swear to uphold a Constitution that they don't understand or respect. We would be well served by scrapping Congress and starting over, and insisting the replacements uphold their oath of office.

Actually that’s us. Leftists don’t believe in strength of any kind. They believe in subjugation. We, meanwhile, are buying up every round we can get when it’s on sale.

"...guns are evil, and I believe that the world would be a better place without weapons."

... Makes you wonder how the term "intellectual" could ever apply.... Hands, feet, and teeth were the original weapons, and without using them and other tools that man developed, the race would not have survived.

But, "the world would be a better place." It's fun to argue with these idiots.
