Wow! It might be dawning on the National Socialist Left that they are the baddies

Substack only: A video on the New York Times column from David Brooks that covers their issues with being the controlling class.

The video and the meme "Are we the baddies" from the comedy team of Mitchel & Webb is one of our favourites and that makes it more than interesting that David Brooks of the New York Times would pen a column with a very similar title and theme: What if We’re the Bad Guys Here?

This has been noticed by many a commentator, and the piece makes an important point that needs to be addressed in a future series. In the meantime, one video commentary needs to be checked out. While we always take great pains to note that we don’t agree with the channel name of the content creator for one reason, he often makes many good points as in this case.

Anti-liberty authoritarians of the fascist far left have their little stories explaining their situation reflecting their peculiar version of reality in which they are always the ‘good guys’ pushing their idea of ‘progress’ forward. In their collectivist mindset, this always has to be positive - no matter the outcome.

We anti-Trumpers often tell a story to explain that. It was encapsulated in a quote the University of North Carolina political scientist Marc Hetherington gave to my colleague Thomas B. Edsall recently: “Republicans see a world changing around them uncomfortably fast, and they want it to slow down, maybe even take a step backward. But if you are a person of color, a woman who values gender equality or an L.G.B.T. person, would you want to go back to 1963? I doubt it.”

In this story we anti-Trumpers are the good guys, the forces of progress and enlightenment. The Trumpers are reactionary bigots and authoritarians. Many Republicans support Trump no matter what, according to this story, because at the end of the day he’s still the bigot in chief, the embodiment of their resentments, and that’s what matters to them most.

The problem for the fascist far-left is that they’ve been telling themselves this story for decades. They supposedly always have the new and better way of doing things - based on science of course - except when they get into those pesky issues of fact. 

Such as the one that there are only two sexes - male and female. Despite the word of the esteemed man of science Neil deGrasse Tyson, declaring ‘gender is a spectrum.’

The rest of the column consists of self-reflection by the author as to why the controlling class could be the baddies here. But then he backs off on this assertion because: 

Trump is a monster in the way we’ve all been saying for years and deserves to go to prison.

And of course, he never actually explains this projection on his part. 

But then again, leftists never do this in most cases.

They’ve constructed a political model that falls apart by bringing out just a few of its blatant contradictions. Such as how some collectivist authoritarians magically belong on one side of the political spectrum, while others of virtually the same ideology belong on the opposite side. It doesn’t make any sense, so they’ve simply repeated the lie for the better part of a century and bluffed anyone who dares challenge it.

They’ve done the same with President Trump, constructing the virtual edifice of a monster without evidence. They just repeat the lie until they believe it’s the truth, that’s why the National Socialist leftists are the baddies, just like National Socialists of the past.
