Biden dropped out of the presidential race, but if he’s not fit to run, why is he still President?

Why didn’t Biden resign? Who decided that Kamala Harris wasn’t ready for the presidency?

Joe Biden finally made the much anticipated but historically rare move of dropping out of the presidential race, but not the presidency.  Over renewed concerns, he isn’t fit for another four years.  He also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.

This raises the critical question of why the far-left ruling class doesn’t think that Kamala Harris isn’t ready for the Presidency:

President Joe Biden dropped out Sunday from the presidential race after a disastrous debate performance renewed concerns that he wasn’t fit for another four years. He endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to succeed him.

“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President,” Biden posted on social media. “And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.l

Biden made the endorsement just minutes after announcing in a letter he was bowing out from the race.

Biden said he will address the public in a speech about his decision at a later date.

Stepping aside, the statement reads, will allow Biden "to focus solely on fulfilling [his] duties as President for the remainder of [his] term."

Andrea Widburg on the American Thinker noted that in a first for a sitting president at this stage in an election, withdrew from the race:

After a couple of paragraphs about how wonderful he’s been as president, Biden gets to the nitty gritty:

...while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.

Although the letter praises Kamala, Joe does not endorse her: “I want to thank Vice President Kamala Harris for being an extraordinary partner in all this work.” That was very telling. However, approximately an hour after releasing the letter, Biden finally did endorse Kamala.

But doesn’t all of this raise the question that they don’t think that Kamala Harris is ready to be President?   And if she’s not prepared, why should anyone vote for her?
