As expected, Michelle Obama floated as the alternative to Biden.
You heard it here first folks, new poll shows support for the former first lady surging beyond that of Kamala Harris or Gavin Newsome.
The results of a new Reuters and Ipsos survey shows that Michelle Obama is the only possible candidate that can beat President Trump:
The former first lady, 60, would beat Trump, 78, by ten points, a Reuters and Ipsos survey showed, with no other possible candidates beating the former president.
It comes as Barack Obama has privately told allies that Mr Biden, 81, faces tougher odds of being re-elected after last week’s disastrous debate performance, during which the US president made a series of verbal blunders.
The poll has the far-left media all a twitter at the prospect of an inexperienced first spouse running to be the most powerful person on the planet. Previous statements from Michelle Obama's office says the former first lady 'will not be running for president' in 2024:
WASHINGTON — Former President Barack Obama has said he’s “all in” for President Joe Biden’s re-election effort. But a question nagging at many Democrats is what role his popular spouse might play.
Democrats nervously looking ahead to November say they want to see Michelle Obama playing a bigger role in the campaign. Some even whisper about the possibility that she might replace a politically hobbled incumbent on the 2024 ticket this summer — making her a fantasy candidate for members of both parties, albeit for different reasons.
We started talking about this over a year ago last May, and the rationale for a bigger role from Michelle has only been reinforced – that of someone Barack can ostensibly control. As it stands now, it looks like the ‘stay the course’ confederation is losing out to the ‘Barack Gavin Michelle Kamala’ or (BG MiK) crowd.
What is truly amazing is that the far-left media was arguing over the very same issues a few months ago in February:
Vox, our favorite “explainers” of the fascist far left, forcefully declared, “Yes, Democrats, it’s Biden or bust.” The word from on high from Politico is “Get Used to It: Biden Isn’t Going Anywhere.” There are these from N.Y. Magazine: “Yes, Democrats Can Still Replace Biden (But They Won’t)” and the L.A. Times: “Why replacing Biden with Newsom or some ‘mythical perfect Democrat’ is unlikely.” And the New York Times: “Could a Biden Challenger Still Enter the Primary Race? Here’s Why It Is Unlikely.”
The changing headlines over at the Atlantic are a pathetic cry for help from the far-left. A piece from Damon Linker started with “What the Heck Is Wrong With the Democrats?” This wasn’t emphatic enough in conveying the message, so it was changed to “Democrats Should Pick a New Presidential Candidate Now”...with the same subhead in each case being entirely obvious and amusing at the same time: “The party needs to wake up and stop sleepwalking toward disaster with Biden as its nominee.”
If they stick with Biden, he’s going to be in a steady decline and the gaslighting isn’t going to work anymore. We can just recall how the media admitted to these facts days or weeks before.
If they try to change, chaos is going to ensue – and remember, this was supposed to be the party that was destined to restore order to the White House. This was the party that was supposed to protect Democracy. And now they’re floating the idea (one of Biden’s favorite phrases) of arbitrarily selecting a man to be the leader of the free world with all the solemnity of choosing a name out of a hat. Does that sound like people that should be in charge?
