Gee, government owned and operated grocery stores sound great. They will probably be similar to going to the DMV, and we all love doing that, don’t we?
It has it's own problems. The waiting room was the size of a walk-in closet, so only it could accommodate 6 -8 people at a time - the rest of us had to wait outside the 'building'
It only had two workers squeezed into a small 'office' - and when one went to lunch, the one person took care of people one at a time.

You only have to go the DMV occasionally - we have a really small one in our town.
But going to one a couple times a week for basic necessities could be a real 'treat'....
Is the really small DMV better or worse than the bigger ones.
